The MIIS Chiang Mai Study Tour 2026 officially began with an exciting first day for our Grade 7 students, setting the tone for a week of global learning, cultural immersion, and personal growth.
Students arrived safely in Chiang Mai and were welcomed at Prem International School, where they are staying under the Visiting Schools Program. Exploring the campus helped students adjust to life away from home while developing confidence, independence, and responsibility—key outcomes of international study tours.
In the afternoon, students took part in an Old City Adventure, exploring Chiang Mai’s historic sites through group challenges and reflection activities. Highlights included Wat Chedi Luang, Tha Phae Gate, and a local market, where students learned about Buddhism, Thai culture, and historical traditions.
Meaningful interactions with local monks and guided exploration allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences—bringing experiential learning to life.
