What does it take to turn a love for music into something more?
On September 25, 2026, that question brought students, families, musicians, and performing arts enthusiasts to Multiple Intelligence International School (MIIS) for the first Berklee College of Music Information Session in Manila.
Held at the MIIS School of the Future at Parklinks, the free session welcomed both the MIIS community and guests from outside the school—opening the campus to anyone curious about where a future in music and the performing arts could lead.
The info session was led by Daniel Abussi, Associate Director of Recruitment at Berklee College of Music, who gave attendees a firsthand look at studying at the world-renowned institution for contemporary music and the performing arts.
What happens during a Berklee audition? What can you study? What is student life like? What careers can music lead to—and what scholarship opportunities are available?
From auditions and interviews to majors, careers, student life, and scholarships, the session gave aspiring creatives the chance to ask questions, understand the possibilities, and picture what their own journey might look like.
For MIIS, hosting Berklee was also about creating that kind of access.
As a progressive international school in Pasig City, MIIS believes students should have opportunities to discover where their individual strengths and interests can take them. Bringing an institution like Berklee into the school community—and opening the experience to aspiring creatives beyond it—turns that idea into something students can actually see, hear, and explore for themselves.
